Day 2Travel through Payson and enjoy the wonderful desert landscape as you ascend towards the mountains. Step back in time and feel the charm of a simpler, nicer America. You won't find hype or commercialization here. This remaining bit of the true west is inhabited by hard working, family oriented folks in touch with and appreciative of the land. Many still ranch and farm, have cattle drives, roping's, and eat their meals from a Chuck Wagon. Now that's the real thing!

Day 3Bathe your spirit in our open spaces and clean air. Soak yourself in true silence. See forever from our mountain tops. Sail on our sea of wildflowers. Wander through a shower of sunlit golden leaves. Lose yourself in the deepest colors of any sunset ever, silhouetted against the intriguing shapes of extinct volcanoes. And then there are the stars, more stars than you've ever seen! Yes! It's all here in the unspoiled, easily accessible high country of Arizona's White Mountain. The legends still live. Be a part of them! Less than one hundred years ago, there were no fences within 300 miles of Springerville. This once remote area was a haven for the Clantons, the Smith Gang, Butch Cassidy, and others. Lawlessness prevailed. Cowboys of the huge "24" and "Hashknife" outfits rode in our mountains and Apache bands roamed freely. This is truly John Wayne country.
