Day 2Enjoy a relaxing morning around the pool or take advantage of the world-class shopping in Scottsdale or Tempe before departing for Sedona.Travel Highway 17 and then 179 to arrive at the home to over 300 artists and many art galleries. Enjoy the visual spectacle of the red rocks, drifting clouds, towering pinnacles and sheer canyon walls which lend incredible beauty to this area. Enjoy shopping or a scenic jeep tour with Pink Jeeps through the vivid red rocks or a breath-taking helicopter tour over the area. Relax at Slide Rock State Park along Oak Creek. Day 3Relax at the heated pool and spa at the hotel or for the more enegetic, enjoy the many hiking trails available in the area. Travel to Jerome (25 miles; 0.5 hours) which is still part ghost town with the old, empty buildings hinting at yesterday's glory. The entire town is perched high on the side of Cleopatra Hill overlooking the Verde Valley and it has been declared a National Historic Landmark. Walk through the shops and galleries which line the main street of this artist's community.

Day 4Depart Sedona and travel up Oak Creek Canyon where a ribbon of trees with brilliant, multi-colored leaves line the creek and bright red rocks comprise the background to Flagstaff (27 miles; 0.75 hours), located at the base of Mount Humphrey and nestled among majestic ponderosa pines. Continue 14 miles north-west of Flagstaff on Highway 180 to the Arizona Snowbowl and enjoy an optional, spectacular, colorful "Skyride" almost to the top of Mt. Agassiz. The panoramic views include the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Mt. Humphreys, Hart Prairie and a dazzling display of foliage. Continue on to the village of Tusayan were you will spend the next two nights at the Grand Hotel or the Holiday Inn Express, located just outside the Grand Canyon National Park.
